The training is aimed at teaching assistants and/or support staff who:

• Are working with EAL pupils and want to network with other colleagues and share resource ideas
• Attended the TDA induction training last year and want to build on that training to develop resources and understanding.

This six day programme, spread over five weeks, is intended to appeal to newly recruited/appointed teaching assistants and support staff, however established staff, who have attended previous sessions, have stated how relevant and beneficial it has been to them in helping them to improve their practice. Therefore established staff new to this programme may wish to attend after reading the training notes and timetable and then speaking with their line manager.

The course:
• Aims to provide information on identifying and implementing Good Practice
• Support practitioners to reflect on their own practice and help them be more effective in their role
• Will introduce practitioners to consultation and a problems solving approach

The course is interactive and will give participants a chance to share ideas, consider different experiences and meet and discuss with other prctioners.
