This statutory return is for all phases and all pupils registered at your school.  All pupil data must be checked using reports supplied by Computer Services, for SIMS users only, and any problems addressed ahead of the Census date.

Items included in this Census on top of basic pupil data are:

• ALL EXCLUSIONS for the Summer Term.  That means all lunchtime, fixed term and
  permanent exclusions for all phases must be on SIMS or Serco Facility.
• All SEN data.
• Attendance is for the Autumn Term.
• First/Primary Schools - Hours of Early Years Funding.
• Staffing and class data.

When they reach County Hall, all Census returns have to be loaded into two validation routines and this may take some days.  Please do not presume your return is validated if you have not heard back on the day of submission.

URGENT New Guidance just released by DCSF on Fair Processing  that  supersedes guidance issued in July

ACTION REQUIRED BY ALL SCHOOLS THIS TERM:

1. Amend the Fair Processing Notice to reflect your school details.

2. Issue a data Collection Sheet for every child to parent/ carer showing information Currently held by the school about that pupil.

3. Attach Layer One Fair Processing Notice to every data sheet.
